Hi there weekend (Sat)

Breakfast
Fruit Platter with natural low fat fromage frais (BTW all the yoghut i have is reduced fat live yog)


Lunch
Pork Chop (on the go)

Dinner
Spanish tapas night at a party - tried my best to eat to full without "cheating" too much:
home made meatballs/chorizo/lamb casserole/olives/potato cake/pastry cake (pastry with spiced currants) about the size of palm of hand.

Drinks
Lemon & ginger tea
Fizzy water about 0.5 litres
Normal water about 0.5 litres

No Snacks

Exercise
1 hour body pump class
30 mins treadmill (10 jogging 20 walking hill intervals)

Observations
I did cheat a bit with the cake and the potato cakes. I had made dinner of potatoes (home made baked wedges) but it was a disaster as I actually turned the oven off by mistake and didn't cook them, so had to go to the party having to ate! So I mixes carbs and fats a tiny bit by having the potato cake at the buffet,and my husband had made the cakes for the first time so really wanted to test them before we took them to the party!

My weight has come down a tiny bit. I am now 11st 2. that's 2 off, so not the fast loss I've had before in phase 1 but still its coming off. Today I started phase 2 of the diet so i have reintroduced fruit (you can reintroduce many foods but recommended one a week so that you can highlight anything that may be causing you problems easier). I am having normal tea with milk again, but that's the only dairy I will be having for a while.

Tonight,(Sunday), unless the menu at our hotel is freakishly kind to me, I am going off the chart. We haven't been out for a posh meal in so so long and this has been booked in advance. If nothing else it will be good quality food.

Friday Freedom!

Friday is a quick day as I get to finish early. Today I ended up in  4 hour meeting so was a good job I had something to eat!

Breakfast
2 fried eggs, 1 slice bacon (I didn't eat all the egg)

Lunch
Sliced Roast Beef
Ham and egg salad

Dinner
100% beef burgers (no sugars etc, peppers & shallots in)
about 30g cooked weight brown rice (leftover) with salad.

Snacks
Jaffa cake (1) woops. my gran offered on a visit!
Wheat & gluten free macaroon (mr kimble)

Drinks
1 litre water
1 full caff coffee with uht milk (mini pod)
1 cup full caff tea with skimmed milk.

Exercise
40 min intervals on stationery bike.

Observations
I cheated a bit with the caffeine today and the jaffa cake! , I need to look up whether or not I should have it in phase 2 of the diet which I am moving onto tomorrow, starting with re introducing fruit. I haven't lost any weight this week but I feel good and feel lost some parts of inches so although no measurements taken , I should do that this weekend.
Sunday is going to be a treat day as going to a nice hotel for dinner and haven't had a posh meal out in ages.

Thursday , the longest day of the week!

Thursday is my "late night" as i tutor after my day job. So we went out for dinner, was a bit of a palava as nothing I ordered was in stock, so I ended up getting a free steak!

Breakfast
black decaff - missed breakfast i was running LATE and my boss called to see if i wanted coffee at a meeting I was meeting him at!

Lunch
Tuna and Brown Rice salad with cucumber, dressed olive oil and pasta
pot natural yoghurt

Dinner
Steak Grilled Sirloin (FREEE!)
Walnut salad *(with tiny amount of blue cheese and pears)

Snacks
pork chop
bitesize square lemon cheesecake (about 5cm wide), at my tutor group- very little cheat, but still a cheat :/

Drinks
1 litre water
lemon and ginger tea
black decaff

Exercise
None- rest day Thurs because of the tutoring.

Observations
Had a long time between lunch at about 12.40 and the chop at 5pm, too long, hence going out for free steak!

Wednesday Week 1

Breakfast

carrot battons

brocoli
gammon
brown rice (only about 2 tbsp as it wasn't cooked yet!)

Snacks
more roast beef slices
more carrot battons
another natural yoghurt

Drinks
2 x Teas 1 lemon& ginger 1 x lychee
1 x decaff black coffee
1 litre water

Exercise
1 x body combat class


Observations
Ok today, missing tea like MAD, i just love a relaxing cuppa to break up the day in work and before bed, this fruit nonsense just isn't cutting it but I suppose I need to persevere!
I went on the scales, nothing lost so far. urgh.

Tuesday schmuesday

Hi!

another exciting episode!!

Breakfast
2 large slices of ham
1 pot natural yoghurt

Lunch
chicken and brown rice salad, (leftover chicken from money, 50g dry weight brown rice, salad leave, olive oil & garlic)
1 pot natural yoghur

Dinner
veg omelette (courgettes and tomatoes) and mixed salad leaves. omelette cooked in butter

Snacks
Cherry tomatos
pork chop (dont ask haha, i had an early finish and work and a long time till sit down dinner so i just chucked it on!)

Drinks
black decaff coffee
lemon & ginger tea
1.5 litres water

Exercise
Body Pump class
Yoga

Same supplements as yesterday which should be as standard so i wont bother posting each day.

Observations
On Monday night after I posted i had to go to bed with a headache but today I was OK, but I think this was because I was able to get the protein snack of a chop at about 4pm as I was at home early for an appointment, normally i would be at work and have nothing to eat at this stage, so note to self to pack extra tomorrow to get me through to late dinner (9pm).

On the whole an OK day. No cravings for food, just tea, boo hoo.

Lets Begin!

Hi All, 

this probably wont be the most exciting blog in the world. I'm not looking to win any awards, just putting it out there. I feel like i never stop exercising, but i never seem to be able to loose any weight. I'm going to be following The Harcombe Diet, which as been successful for me before. So basically this is a record of that.

I want to loose about 20lbs initially. Or inches, I'm not fussed!  I weigh 11st 4lb as we speak.

The diet doesn't call for much exercise, but I'm not going to lie, I dread the thought of going flabby so I'm not willing to take that risk. I am a food lover and a wine lover, so this is gonna be tough!

So here's the first day, please comment with your views/observations/recommendations. Be Nice!

Breakfast
2 egg omelette with green peppers, made with butter

Lunch
Tuna Salad with Brown Rice (50g dry weight) with cucumber, mixed leaves, 1 tin of tuna in spring water , olive oil & garlic dressing

1 small pot of natural yoghurt.

Dinner
chicken baked in a drizzle of olive oil and paprika
roasted vegetables (courgette, onion, peppers, tomatoes)

Snacks
2 slices of ham (no added sugars etc)
1 punnet of cherry tomatoes
1 small pot of natural yoghurt
olives

Drinks
lemon and ginger tea x 2 
black decaff coffee
1 litre water

Supplements
HCL, Candida, Biotin

Observations

Very hungry at 5.30pm for dinner. Had to snack on cold ham before main meal with OH got home.
Slight headache at 8pm, taking on more water to try to deal with.

Exercise
None today - had 2 days previous.
